2. Mobile Outreach
Program
The mobile Outreach
program is aimed to follow rehabilitated children
who returned home so that they will not regress to
their former status of immobility. Disabled children
and youths mainly victims of polio, are visited in
their own localities to regularly assess and upgrade
their appliances (crutches, braces, shoes and walking
frames) every six months. New cases are also assessed
and provided with rehabilitation aids on the spot
in many instances, or in the more acute cases scheduled
for admission to the Rehabilitation Center for corrective
surgery. The Mobile Outreach team visits over 20 sites
benefiting over 4000 children and you with disabilities.
