TThe centre is located 20 km west
of Addis Ababa the capital city. It provides medical rehabilitation.
Surgery, plaster casting and physiotherapy treatment are
required to rehabilitate polio victims. At the centre,
pre and post operative care is provided. The annual capacity
of the center is 150 and can accommodate 70 children at
a time. The average length of stay at the center is 6
months. Cheshire Services Ethiopia has prosthetic and
orthotic Center at Menagesha and Orthopedic workshops
at Dire Dawa and Awassa towns. The Centers at Dire Dawa
and Awassa were established to strategically serve the
eastern and southern parts of the country respectively.
